Ecuador vs Brazil Prediction

Ecuador head into the final four games of CONMEBOL qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup sitting nine points clear of Bolivia, who are eighth, and eight ahead of Venezuela in seventh and the intercontinental playoff place. They most recently shared a goalless draw with Chile at Estadio Nacional Julio Martinez Pradanos in Santiago a couple of months ago.

Five-time world champions Brazil have more or less wasted two years of developing the national side but Carlo Ancelotti is now in charge of the Selecao, becoming the first foreign permanent coach of the national team. They are going to qualify for the FIFA World Cup but they need to majorly improve to come anywhere close to challenging next summer.

Ecuador have comfortably the best defensive record in South American qualifying with five goals conceded in their 14 games and, based on the evidence of Ancelotti at Madrid this season, the Brazilians are unlikely to turn themselves into a free-flowing ‘Samba-style’ side overnight.

Ecuador vs Brazil Tip: Ecuador to win & under 3.5 goals
