Cam Teague: Chaos returns to the Apex

Cam Teague (9-1) steps in for his second shot on the Contender Series after a short-notice debut in 2024 ended in a first-round KO loss to now-UFC fighter Kevin Vallejos. Prior to that, Teague had impressed with a knockout win over former UFC fighter Austin Lingo under the Fury FC banner — a performance that caught some attention.

Since his DWCS loss, the 27-year-old has bounced back with two MMA wins and a boxing victory. Nicknamed “Chaos”, the Alabama native is a pressure-heavy volume striker who walks forward and looks to overwhelm opponents with output, often relying on his toughness to outlast and outwork his opposition.

Lerryan Douglas: Brazilian unlocking potential in California

Lerryan Douglas (12-5) enters on a four-fight knockout streak, all under the respected LFA promotion. A pro since 2013, the 30-year-old Brazilian has found a new gear since linking up with Cub Swanson in Huntington Beach — with his most recent win coming via a second-round KO over Elijah Johns, brother of UFC fighter Myles Johns.

Douglas is a flat-footed, stalking striker who likes to sit down on his shots. While not one for feints or volume, he’s sharp with his hands and has the power to change a fight in an instant. He rarely grapples offensively but has shown improvements across the board since switching camps.

Cam Teague vs Lerryan Douglas prediction

While Teague is the younger fighter and has the better record, Douglas has faced the better opposition and enters this bout with huge momentum. Training under Cub Swanson appears to have sharpened his game, and with four knockouts on the bounce, the Brazilian looks locked in.

Expect Teague to bring the pressure early, but Douglas to stay patient and capitalise on an opening — finding the chin with a big counter shot.

Prediction: Lerryan Douglas to win by KO/TKO
