Mandel Nallo: Can "Mango" score a trademark brutal stoppage?

Formerly known as “Rat Garbage,” Mandell “Mango” Nallo (14-4) earned a contract with an upset KO over Samuel Silva on the Contender Series. A veteran of Bellator, Nallo is a kill or be killed fighter, boasting a 100% finish rate and going out on his shield in all four of his losses. The Canadian Tristart representative came up against Jai Herbert in his debut, a fight where he had his moments, but ultimately found himself on the wrong end of a first round TKO defeat.

Nate Landwehr: What does "The Train" have left in the tank?

Posting a 5-6 record in the promotion to date, Nate Landwehr (18-8) remains a firm fan favorite courtesy of his balls to the wall fighting style and lovable persona on the mike. Unfortunately for “The Train,” he’s fallen on rough times as of late; Landwehr is on a three fight losing streak and has only won a fight once since 2023. He was last seen in action against Cub Swanson, in “Killer Cub’s” retirement fight, coming out on the wrong end of a nasty KO loss at UFC 327.

Mandel Nallo vs Nate Landwehr prediction

As much as I love “Nate the Train,” I think he’s getting put away for the fourth time in a row by Nallo here.

Landwehr is coming off three consecutive losses, with all three of those defeats coming by way of stoppage. He’s also 38 and has absorbed a comical amount of damage throughout a long career of marching forward and biting down on his mouthpiece.

Nallo may have come up short last time out, but Jai Herbert has proved himself to be one of the craftier veterans in the lightweight ranks; he’s also an extremely technical, rangy striker, a mold that Landwehr does not fit. “Mango” is a bona fide finisher with all of his pro victories coming by way of stoppage, facing a fighter who has been finished in his last three fights. Throw in Nallo’s edge in height and reach and this looks like a rough night in the making for the American.

I envision Landwehr starting aggressively and eventually freezing up badly as Nallo begins to tee off on him, shelling up against the cage as the Canadian pours on the damage and succumbing to a TKO finish.

Prediction: Mandel Nallo to win by TKO
