Chasen Blair: Hoping to make the most of second chance
Chasen Blair (7-3) makes his second appearance on the Contender Series after a disappointing debut in 2024, where he was knocked out in the second round by Kody Steele. Since then, the 26-year-old has picked up a submission win. The American has fought solely under the Cage Warriors banner, finishing all of his opponents — but the level of opposition hasn’t been anything to write home about.
Blair is a decent striker with solid toughness and a respectable finishing instinct. While he hasn’t shown standout athleticism or technical polish, he does carry an experience edge having already fought under the DWCS lights and competed for a more globally recognised promotion in Cage Warriors.
Samuel Sanches: Young Brazilian chasing a breakout moment
Samuel Sanches (10-1) enters the UFC’s scouting spotlight at just 22 years old. Fighting out of Brazil’s Demo Fight promotion — the same circuit that produced Jailton Almeida — Sanches has racked up 7 knockout wins.
That said, Demo Fight has a reputation for one-sided mismatches, and Sanches has yet to face high-level resistance. Still, his youth, power, and well-rounded potential make him an intriguing prospect who appears to be improving with each performance.
Chasen Blair vs Samuel Sanches prediction
This is a close match-up between two finishers. Blair brings edge in experience and has an advantage having fought in the apex once before but his ceiling looks more limited when compared to the Brazilian. Sanches, on the other hand, is only 22 and still evolving.
Expect a competitive scrap early, but the Brazilian’s speed, power, and aggression could give him the edge.
Prediction: Samuel Sanches to win
