In the first-leg of this UEFA Europa League second qualifying round, Qarabag and CSKA Sofia played out a surprise goalless draw at the Tofiq Bahramov Stadium in Baku.
CSKA Sofia, Bulgarian Cup winners last season, managed to overcome League of Ireland opposition Derry City in the first qualifying round; winning the first-leg by three goals to two before a 2-1 win away from home in the second-leg. Qarabag, who reached the knockout play-off round of the UEFA Champions League last season, were beaten to the Azeri title by Sabah last season. They overcame Icelandic second-tier outfit Vestri in the first qualifying round of this competition earlier this month.
These are two proactive and attacking sides so another low-scoring encounter seems unlikely with both teams scoring seeming a decent bet for this one in Bulgaria.
