Crvena Zvezda Preview: Additional Heading Here

In August, Crvena Zvezda overturned a two-goal deficit against Bodo/Glimt with a typically hostile and fierce performance in the Serbian capital in the second-leg of their playoff tie and their only chances of getting results in the league phase has been home advantage.

They have managed just one victory with five defeats, though, in their six matches in the league phase. The Serbians most recent outing in this tournament saw them suffer a 2-1 defeat at San Siro against AC Milan in a game that saw Tammy Abraham score an 87th minute winner.

PSV Preview: A bumpy patch for PSV

PSV Eindhoven remain at the top-of-the-table in the Dutch Eredivisie but their lead over Ajax has been cut to just one point. Peter Bosz’ side suffered a 3-1 defeat away to PEC Zwolle at the weekend and they have managed just one win in their last four matches in the league.

PSV have managed two victories, two draws and two defeats in their six matches in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League as they sit just a point inside the top 24 and the knockout playoff qualification spots ahead of the seventh match day of the 2024/25 campaign.

Crvena Zvezda vs PSV Prediction

As mentioned, the only really effective way in which Crvena Zvezda can get points on the board in the UEFA Champions League with two games to go is to take advantage of once again being at the Maracana this week. They face a PSV Eindhoven side that remain fairly reckless but extremely entertaining to watch in typical Peter Bosz style. Red Star’s 5-2 defeat at home to Barcelona has shown they are capable of scoring against anyone in Europe and another high-scoring encounter seems very likely for this one in Serbia.

Crvena Zvezda vs PSV Tip: Over 2.5 goals
