Como look to have gone up a further level this season as they now welcome a stubborn Parma side at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia on Monday.

Como preview: Impressive Como

Como were extremely impressive in midweek as they come into this one on the back of a 4-1 demolition of RB Leipzig in their most recent outing at the weekend, courtesy of goals scored by Martin Baturina, Tasos Douvikas, Assane Diao and Maximo Perrone.

Como started their Serie A campaign with a goalless draw against Udinese before earning back-to-back victories against Napoli away from home and then Genoa also on the road.

Parma preview: Stubborn Parma

Parma were defensively tight last season but then lost key men such as Zion Suzuki and Alessandro Circati over the summer which is expected to edge them further towards a relegation battle under the management of Carlos Cuesta.

Parma began their season with back-to-back draws but they did manage to share a 1-1 draw with newly-promoted Monza at the Ennio Tardini last week, courtesy of a second half equaliser scored by Simone Lontani.

Como team news: Nothing fresh

Ahead of the visit of Parma this weekend, Como are dealing with just one longer-term injury absentee as attacker Jayden Addai remains sidelined for the hosts.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Butez; Couto, Jacobo, Chalobah, Alex Valle; Maximo Perrone, Da Cunha; Diao, Nico Paz, Baturina; Douvikas

Unavailable: Addai (Injured)

Questionable:

Parma team news: A few doubts

Parma are dealing with a few injury doubts for this weekend with Sascha Britschgi and Ousmane Diallo potentially sidelined alongside former Manchester City man Adrian Bernabe.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Corvi; Del Prato, Diego Carlos, Troilo; Sierro, Fabbian, Keita, Ordonez, Valeri; Romero, Toure

Unavailable: Caviglia (Injured)

Questionable: Britschgi (Injured), Adrian Bernabe (Injured), Diallo (Injured)

Como vs Parma prediction

As they pushed themselves clear of the bottom three and the relegation places last season, Parma did so with a very defensive and fairly dull style and they are attempting to do so once again but without the quality that they had at the back. Como have gone up a gear over the summer and look set for another comfortable win here as Cesc Fabregas continues to earn a burgeoning reputation as a manager.

Como vs Parma tip: Como to win -1 handicap
