Chile vs Uruguay prediction

Chile began life post-Ricardo Gareca with an admittedly expected defeat to Brazil in their penultimate CONMEBOL qualifier.

Currently led by assistant boss Nicolas Cordova, Chile were second best at the Maracana in their 3-0 defeat, and they look poised to finish last in the South American qualifying section barring an unlikely set of results.

Visiting Uruguay can relax a little now as their 3-0 victory over Peru last time out sealed their automatic passage into the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been one of the stronger nations in qualifying and they could even finish second if Brazil fail to beat Bolivia.

An away victory looks likely in this one.
