Key stats

  • Bulgaria have lost their last six World Cup qualifying matches. This is their longest sequence of successive defeats in World Cup qualifying history.
  • Georgia have won two of the last three international matches between these teams (D1).
  • Georgia have won only one of their last 23 World Cup qualifying matches away from home (D5 L17).

Bulgaria vs Georgia prediction

Bulgaria come into this one on the back of a very tough qualifying campaign with five defeats from five in a tough Group E. Their most recent outing saw the Bulgarians suffer a 2-0 defeat at the Bursa Ataturk Stadium against Turkey at the weekend, having now conceded 18 goals in their five games.

They now face a Georgia side that, under the management of Willy Sagnol, will not be at the 2026 FIFA World Cup but they have again been improving and entertaining to watch. The Georgians did suffer a humbling the other day as they suffered a 4-0 loss at home to Spain in Tbilisi.

Georgia will want to bounce back against inferior opposition once again and complete a double of victories against what is a very poor Bulgaria side on Tuesday.
