Banik Ostrava vs Legia Warsaw prediction

Banik Ostrava began the 2025/26 Czech First League season in underwhelming fashion as they suffered a slender 1-0 loss to Bohemians 1905 on the opening day of the campaign at the weekend. They have qualified for the UEFA Europa League by achieving a surprise third place finish, above Sparta Prague, last season.

Legia Warsaw began their campaign with a surprise defeat of Lech Poznan in the Polish Super Cup final earlier this month. That victory and winning of silverware was sandwiched between two hard fought legs against Kazakh Premier League side Aktobe, who they defeated by a goal to nil in both legs.

Banik will hope their focus was just fully on Europe and that is why they underwhelmed at the weekend, but it will give Legia hope for what is likely to be a low-scoring affair.

Banik Ostrava vs Legia Warsaw tip: Under 3.5 goals
