Austria vs Cyprus prediction

Under the management of Ralf Rangnick, Austria have been drawn into a very easy and soft group that consists of themselves, Cyprus, as well as Bosnia-Herzegovina, Romania and San Marino, with Austria expecting to qualify for the tournament.

In their three qualifiers so far, Cyprus have managed just one victory, which came against San Marino, and they have suffered two defeats. Austria, on the other hand, have started their FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign with back-to-back victories, sitting three points behind the Bosnians but with a game-in-hand. Romania were expected to be Austria’s biggest challengers in this group, but they have already lost twice.

Cyprus have been declining over the last decade and, despite an improvement in club football in Cyprus, their international team remains poor, and Austria are firm favourites.
