Bayer Leverkusen came out the wrong end of a thriller against newly promoted Elversberg, a poor defensive performance seeing them lose 3-2. However, they did bounce back at the first time of asking this past weekend, thrashing Union Berlin by four goals to nil, which sees them currently in mid-table.
Leverkusen have only scored a goal less than Augsburg across two matches, but the defence tells a different story. It’s clear what needs to improve if Leverkusen are to hit the heights they want to domestically.
