Davidovich Fokina has moved up to a career-high 13th in the world, and the 27-year-old will be fired up to return to Basel, where he played so well last year.

The fifth seed takes on Belgium’s Zizou Bergs, who has been in reasonable form himself in recent weeks, having pulled off an outstanding win over Carlos Alcaraz in Shanghai a couple of weeks ago.
