He faces compatriot Lorenzo Musetti for a place in the final. Musetti earned his 200th tour-level victory after squeezing past Luca Van Assche in an epic match which lasted three hours and 33 minutes in total. The two-time Grand Slam semi-final showed all of his fighting qualities to win 7-6 (5) 6-7 (7) 6-4.
The head-to-head is 1-0 in favour of Musetti after a win at the US Open in 2025, though Cobolli did retire in the third set of that match. It’s a quick turnaround for Musetti after such a gruelling encounter, and that may swing things in Cobolli’s favour.
