The Canadian hit back in her clash with Ekaterina Alexandrova to post a 4-6 6-2 6-1 success.

Bouzkova won their first encounter 6-0 6-1 way back in 2019 on the hardcourts of Toronto, but it’s safe to assume this will a different story.

Seven years on, Leylah is firmly established and arguably the bigger name now, but Marie does sit four places better on the WTA ladder.
