Daniil Medvedev vs Alexander Bublik prediction

Daniil Medvedev continued the defence of his title with a straight sets win over Terence Atmane at the Almaty Open. The former world number one did not concede a break point and won 91% of his points on first serve, winning 6-4 6-4 after just 75 minutes on court. Medvedev has won 13 of his last 15 matches since the US Open. This is his ninth semi-final of the campaign.

He faces Alexander Bublik. The Kazakh came from a set down to beat 2024 champion Karen Khachanov in a high-quality quarter-final match. Bublik struck 21 aces as he sealed a 4-6 7-6 (5) 7-6 (5) victory. He is seeking a second title of the campaign, after winning the Hong Kong Open right at the start of the year. 

Medvedev leads the head-to-head 6-1. He had won their first six meetings, but Bublik ended the streak with a fantastic victory in the final of the Halle Open last year. He will need to serve extremely well to have a chance against Medvedev.
