Ziga Sesko vs Daniel Merida prediction
Ziga Sesko is set to make his ATP main draw debut at the Croatia Open. The 17-year-old, who turns 18 later this month, attempted to qualify for the Mallorca Championships last month but lost to Alex Molcan in straight sets. He will face Daniel Merida in the first-round of this event.
The Spaniard competed at Wimbledon for the first time earlier this month. He won his opening match after Camilo Ugo Carabelli was forced to retire and did manage to take a set off former world number one Daniil Medvedev in the next stage, losing in four sets overall. He won a Challenger title in Valencia earlier this year, while he also rose to prominence after making it all the way to the final of the Bucharest Open on his ATP debut in April.
Merida has shown himself to be a very competitive player on clay, and he will start as the heavy favourite against the inexperienced Sesko.
