Wrexham vs Nottingham Forest prediction

Wrexham have found some brilliant form of late as Phil Parkinson’s Red Dragons inch closer towards the top six and the playoff places in the Championship. The hosts managed to defeat Derby County by two goals to one at Pride Park the other day, extending their winning streak to four matches either side of the turn of the year.

Nottingham Forest are struggling to balance domestic and European commitments this season with their third manager of the campaign, Sean Dyche, now also coming under pressure. However, Forest did earn themselves a much-needed come from behind 2-1 defeat of fellow strugglers West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Phil Parkinson led Bradford City to the League Cup final in 2013 and helped produce one of the greatest FA Cup upsets ever as his Bantams side came from 2-0 down to beat Chelsea two years later at Stamford Bridge.

Sean Dyche, on the other hand, has overseen a Premier League team losing at home to non-league Lincoln City back in 2017 – and he will also be aware that this competition is not much of a priority for the visitors, even though a rotated Forest side will still be strong and it should be quite a fun game for the neutral.

Wrexham vs Nottingham Forest tip: Over 2.5 goals
