Wolves vs Shrewsbury prediction

Wolverhampton Wanderers managed to earn themselves a 1-1 draw with Everton in midweek, albeit they will be frustrated against the nine men of the Toffees. Wolves’ performance level has been improving and they are now unbeaten in three matches as they try to go down to the Championship with some pride restored.

Shrewsbury Town, with former Blackburn Rovers boss Michael Appleton at the helm, have endured a miserable campaign as they hover just outside of the bottom two and the relegation places in League Two. Their 3-0 defeat at home to Bristol Rovers on New Year’s Day made it four successive defeats for Salop.

The visitors are winless in six games since an extra-time defeat of non-league Sutton United in the second round. However ambitious Edwards may be for the second-half of this season, there doesn’t appear to be anything to be gained from resting and rotating here. In fact, trying to get a confidence boosting hammering under their belts may even be valued highly.

Wolves vs Shrewsbury tip: Wolves to score three or more goals
