Struggling Wolves may be rock-bottom of the Premier League, but remain in the League Cup ahead of David Moyes and Everton’s visit to Molineux in round three.

Wolves vs Everton prediction

Wolves are the only team remaining in the Premier League yet to pick up a single point after five rounds of fixtures, piling the pressure onto Vitor Pereira and his side. Pereira’s one saving grace has been the League Cup, with his team on the brink of elimination before a late comeback saw them defeat West Ham in round two. They now take on Everton, a club who Pereira has been linked with many times in years past.

The Toffees have shown significant improvement this season under David Moyes, who broke West Ham’s long trophy drought and no doubt has eyes on doing the same for the blue half of Merseyside. Expect a strong Everton team with Jack Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye likely to play for the visitors. Despite being in the same league, Wolves cannot match those level of players and their inability to keep a clean sheet tips the scales in Everton’s favour. With confidence among the home dressing room at an all-time low, back Moyes’ Everton to progress.
