Bottom-of-the-table Wolverhampton Wanderers take on top-of-the-table Arsenal at Molineux as the visitors continue their bid for a historic quadruple this season.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Sky Sports / USA – Not televised

Wolves preview: Improved but dull

Rob Edwards has eventually improved Wolves and they have been better since just before the turn of the year, perhaps beginning with a hard-fought and dramatic late 2-1 loss to the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium over the festive period.

It has been very dull, though. Wolves managed to squeeze past League Two side Grimsby Town by a goal to nil at Blundell Park at the weekend, a few days after a goalless draw with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground last week.

Arsenal preview: Gunning for the quad

Mikel Arteta has been criticised for a lack of silverware, despite general improvement, during his tenure as Arsenal boss and now the Gunners are aiming for the quadruple, and they should really fancy themselves to do so.

Four points clear at the top-of-the-table in the Premier League, topping the league phase of the UEFA Champions League and preparing for an EFL Cup final. Arsenal dispatched of Wigan Athletic by four goals to nil in the FA Cup last weekend.

Wolves team news: Toti and Hwang not yet ready

Rob Edwards has confirmed that key defender Toti remains sidelined for the hosts, despite returning to training, with the visit of Arsenal coming too soon for the Portugal international centre-back.

The same is for Hwang Hee-chan, who is also training alone as he fights to return to full fitness, with Edwards confirming everyone was fit and available after the weekend.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Sa; Doherty, Mosquera, S. Bueno; R. Gomes, J. Gomes, A. Gomes, H. Bueno; Mane, Bellegarde; Armstrong

Unavailable: Toti (Fitness), Hwang (Fitness), Chiwone (Injured)

Questionable:

Arsenal team news: Saka likely back to the wing

Mikel Arteta explained that his deployment of Bukayo Saka in a so-called ‘number ten’ role, as was the case against Wigan, may be repeated at some stage this season. It has to be unlikely to be used in this one, though. With that in mind, and the form of Noni Madueke, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the latter on the left wing this time in order to squeeze both players into the eleven.

Ben White has come through a slight injury scare ahead of Wigan, while Riccardo Calafiori is looking likely to be availlable, too. However, captain Martin Odegaard is now a confirmed absentee once again.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Hincapie; Rice, Zubimendi, Eze; Saka, Gyokeres, Madueke

Unavailable: Merino (Injured), Odegaard (Injured), Dowman (Injured), Havertz (Injured)

Questionable: Calafiori (Fitness)

Wolves vs Arsenal prediction

Arsenal can extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to seven points and returning to the summit of English football would perhaps be enough for their supporters to be content with – but they are in a position whereby they should get more. They now face a Wolves side that will be very tight and difficult to play against, though Arsenal have to remain as firm favourites in the midlands on Wednesday night.

Wolves vs Arsenal tip: Arsenal to win & under 3.5 goals
