Wolfsburg Team News: Midfield absentees

Key men in midfield, Croatia international Lovro Majer and Belgium international Aster Vranckx, have been sidelined due to ankle and toe injuries respectively ahead of this one.

However, Vranckx returned off the bench at the weekend with Majer still unavailable alongside Tiago Tomas, who is missing through suspension for this one.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Grabara; Fischer, Vavro, Koulierakis, Maehle; Dardai, Arnold, Gerhardt; Wimmer, Wind, Amoura

Unavailable: Rogerio (Injured), Majer (Injured), Bialek (Injured), Paredes (Injured), Tomas (Suspended)

Borussia Monchengladbach Team News: A few injuries

Gerardo Seoane is known for his attacking setup but he has quite a small squad with no fresh injury concerns so they are expected to name an unchanged eleven for this one.

They do have a few injury issues ahead of the trip to the Volkswagen Arena with Simon Walde sidelined alongside Yvandro Borges Sanches, Franck Honorat and Nathan Ngoumou.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Nicolas; Scally, Itakura, Elvedi, Ullrich; Weigl, Sander; Reitz, Plea, Hack; Kleindienst

Unavailable: Walde (Injured), Ngoumou (Injured), Honorat (Injured), Yvandro Borges Sanches (Injured)

Wolfsburg vs Borussia Monchengladbach Prediction

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Wolfsburg had been left frustrated before the winter break as they suffered a defeat at home to Borussia Dortmund but they come into this one on the back of a slender 1-0 victory over Hoffenheim thanks to a winning goal scored by Mohamed Amoura. They are striving to push towards the top seven and eight, alongside the entertaining Borussia Monchengladbach, who suffered a slender 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich via a second-half Harry Kane penalty at Borussia-Park at the weekend. Both Hasenhuttl and Seoane play aggressive and front foot football so both teams scoring would appear a good bet.

Wolfsburg vs Borussia Monchengladbach Tip: Both teams to score
