Who has scored the most Premier League hat-tricks for Man Utd?

From Eric Cantona, to Wayne Rooney, to Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester Utd have had their fair share of hat-trick heroes in the Premier League. The Red Devils’ very first Premier League hat-trick was scored by Andrei Kanchelskis back in November of 1994 against local rivals Man City in a 5-0 win at Old Trafford.
When it comes to Premier hat-tricks against bitter rivals, Man Utd fans will immediately remember Dimitar Berbatov’s three goals vs Liverpool in a thrilling Premier League encounter that saw Sir Alex Ferguson’s side triumph 3-2. That was the only Premier League hat-trick scored by a Man Utd player in their title winning 2010-11 season.
Wayne Rooney, one of the most notable Man Utd signings of this millennium, currently remains the club’s top Premier League hat-trick scorer, with six to his name after a glittering career following his move from Everton as an 18-year-old.

One of the best players to ever wear the famous red shirt, Cristiano Ronaldo registered three Premier League hat-tricks as a Man Utd player. The first of those came in 2008 in a 6-0 home victory over Newcastle. But Ronaldo had to wait over 14 years for his next Premier League hat-trick, which arrived in March 2022 against Spurs during CR7’s second spell at the club.
Ronaldo’s third English top flight hat-trick came just over a month after his second as part of a 3-2 win at home to Norwich City. This brought the Portuguese legend level with the likes of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke on three Premier League hat-tricks.

Man Utd recorded four Premier League hat-tricks over the course of 1999, with two of those coming in their famous treble-winning campaign. However, the Red Devils surpassed that total in 2011, with five Premier League hat-tricks across that year, three of which were scored by Rooney and two by Berbatov.
Fans also won’t forget the incredible 2022-23 season had by Robin van Persie, who signed from Arsenal and went on to rack up two Premier League hat-tricks as United won the title in Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season in charge.
