Data is current up to and including the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League final
No player has made more than six appearances in the UEFA Champions League as it stands. Had Real Madrid progressed through to the final in 2024-25 then Luka Modric may well have become the first player ever to appear in seven UEFA Champions League finals.
The Croatian midfielder is currently tied for most appearances with six overall, alongside five other players. Those five players include one current teammate in Dani Carvajal, (who would've missed the 2024-25 final through injury) and two former Real Madrid teammates in Cristiano Ronaldo and Toni Kroos.
Of the four players to have made five final appearances, four are now retired. The only player still active in that group is another former Real Madrid player, French striker Karim Benzema. He now plays in Saudi Arabia and unless the perennial goalscorer moves back to Europe, then he'll have no chance of joining the six-appearance club.
Whilst no longer at Paris Saint-Germain, goalkeeper Keylor Navas made one of his four UEFA Champions League final appearances back in 2020 with the now 2024-25 finalists, becoming only the third keeper at the time to play in a UEFA Champions League final for two different clubs, alongside Edwin van der Sar and Hans-Jorg Butt.
