Watford vs Southampton prediction

Watford come into this one on the back of a 1-1 draw with Swansea City in south Wales at the weekend in a game in which Nestory Irankunda had given Watford a first-half lead. They have collected four points from their opening three matches, now under the management of former Real Valladolid boss Paulo Pezzolano.

They now face a Southampton side that remain in flux due to the uncertainty of the summer transfer window, with Will Still seeking to find some rhythm and fluency. Saints came from behind to beat Wrexham on opening day before sharing a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town, but they then suffered a 2-1 loss at home to Stoke City last weekend.

Southampton will head north with a lack of clarity over the system and style for now, but they remain the favourites against a similarly in flux Watford side at Vicarage Road.

Watford vs Southampton tip: Southampton to win
