Walsall collapsed in the second-half of last season and the Saddlers are now under pressure this time around as they take on Salford City at the Bescot Stadium.

Walsall vs Salford prediction

Walsall were well clear at the top-of-the-table in mid-January before collapsing and missing out on automatic promotion on the final day before a playoff final defeat. Mat Sadler remains in charge and they have looked to be strong once again this year, but they did most recently suffer a 1-0 loss at home to Grimsby Town in midweek.

They now face a Salford City side that somehow missed out on the top seven and the playoff places on the final day of last season, but Karl Robinson’s Ammies are expected to mount a serious challenge for promotion again. Their victory over Newport County in midweek means they have now enjoyed three successive victories.

Walsall will have a concern that when they are falling behind or about to wobble, they can completely collapse, and Salford will be confident and sensing a massive opportunity.

Walsall vs Salford tip: Salford to win
