Wales vs Netherlands prediction

The Welsh, coached by former England and Great Britain assistant coach Rhian Wilkinson, pulled off a couple of surprising results in the playoffs to qualify for the tournament. They firstly defeated Slovakia after extra-time at the Cardiff City Stadium, before then edging past Ireland by three goals to two on aggregate.

The Netherlands are one of the strongest teams in Europe, but surprisingly they qualified for the tournament as runners up to Italy in their tough and competitive qualifying campaign during the autumn. They were hammered by Germany in the UEFA Women’s Nations League last month, too, before a draw with Scotland.

Debutants Wales are set to be one of the weaker sides at the tournament, and the Netherlands, despite their form, will be expected to get off to a comfortable winning start.

Wales vs Netherlands tip: Netherlands to win -1 handicap
