Valentin Vacherot vs Taylor Fritz prediction

Valentin Vacherot showed great grit and determination once again as he edged past Holger Rune in an enthralling three-set match.

The Monegasque is enjoying a great week, following up his magnificent win over Rafael Jodar with victory against Rune in the quarter-finals, but he is going to have to step up another notch as he faces Taylor Fritz on Saturday for a place in the final.

Fritz was cruising to victory against Arthur Fils before the Frenchman was forced to retire after being broken in the second set. Fritz has looked dominant this week in his victories over Rinky Hijikata, Denis Shapovalov and Fils, and he will fancy his chances against Vacherot.

The pair have met once before, in the first round of this tournament last year, when Fritz won a hard-fought three-set battle.

There is every chance this could go three sets and be Fritz’s toughest test so far, but ultimately we fully expect him to progress to the final.
