Kaitlin Quevedo vs Lilli Tagger prediction

Kaitlin Quevedo advanced to her second WTA semi-final of the season after defeating Jil Teichmann in straight sets. Quevedo, who won her first ever tour-level title in Sao Paulo last month, claimed a 7-6 (2) 6-3 victory. She has now won eight of her last nine matches. 

Quevedo faces Lilli Tagger for a place in the final. Tagger dropped her first set of the tournament but still booked her place in the last four after beating Han Shi. The number four seed was also 4-2 down in the deciding set but fought back to win 6-3 3-6 7-5 after two hours and 38 minutes. This will be her third tour-level semi-final. 

Tagger is searching for a second title of the campaign after success in Prague earlier this year. These two young players have enjoyed breakthrough seasons, but Tagger is a bit further ahead in terms of her development. She will be regarded as the favourite.
