USA vs Italy prediction

Lots of eyes will be on USA and whether the talent pathway is still as strong as ever at one of the world’s true powerhouses when it comes to women’s football. Senior USWNT head coach Emma Hayes will no doubt have a very close eye on events in Poland as Vicky Jepson’s side look to start with a bang.

Italy are competing in just their third World Cup, a disappointment really for a nation as football crazy as them. When it comes to women’s football, the Italians are playing catch-up to the likes of England, Spain and of course, USA. They likely still have a way to go before being able to go deep in a major youth tournament such as this and USA are worth backing to deal them a reality check.
