Nora Cornolle: The French veteran looks to score her second win over Edwards since joining the promotion

A powerful striker with six wins by KO, Nora Cornolle (9-3) has finished all but one of her three UFC wins, with her only decision victory coming against the woman she faces on Saturday night. However, despite a strong start to her UFC tenure, the 36 year old Cornolle has faltered somewhat as of late. She’s just 1-2 across her last three fights, sandwiching a submission victory over Hailey Cowan with decision defeats to Jacqueline Cavalcanti and Karol Rosa. Cornolle has also struggled with the scale in her UFC career, missing weight on two separate occasions.

Joselyne Edwards: Can "La Pantera" solidify herself as a legitimate title threat at 135 pounds?

Renowned as one of the heavier hitters in the women’s bantamweight division, Joselyn Edwards (16-6) looks to finally be coming into her own. “La Pantera” is currently on a three fight win streak, with all of those victories coming by way of brutal finish, with a nasty KO over Priscila Cachoeira in her most recent appearance earning her a POTN bonus. A UFC competitor since 2021, Edwards enters this matchup with a point to prove, having come up short against her latest opponent in their first meeting back in 2023.

Nora Cornolle vs Joselyne Edwards prediction

Cornolle might have come out on top in the pair's first meeting but all the signs point to an Edwards revenge party in this one. Dropping close fights to Jacqueline Cavalcanti and Karol Rosa, Cornolle isn't losing to scrubs by any stretch of the imagination, but at 36, she seems to have lost a step in her last few appearances.

By contrast, Edwards appears to finally have hit her stride at 135 pounds. Admittedly, she's only beaten fairly mediocre levels of competition in her latest run, but she's absolutely pulverized them in doing so. Back to back first round KOs aren't exactly in abundance at this weight class, underlining the considerable threat that "La Pantera" poses to end the fight at any given minute.

While she absorbed a brutal amount of damage against Karol Rosa, Cornolle's toughness and veteran guile means that she's unlikely to be added to Edwards' finish streak here. With that being said, it's still not enough to pick her against a fighter with "La Pantera's" current levels of momentum.

Prediction: Joselyne Edwards to win
