Jonny Parsons: Returning after more than three years out

Jonny Parsons (9-3) has won six fights in a row and was victorious on his UFC debut last time out, stopping Danny Roberts by TKO in the second round.

However, that fight came back in July 2023, so it has been more than three years since he last competed. A series of injuries are behind his long absence, and it will be interesting to see what kind of condition he is in when he returns to the Octagon.

Jose Henrique Souza: Looking to build on a winning UFC debut

Jose Henrique Souza (9-1) made his Octagon debut in May this year and picked up a split decision win over Ding Meng.

That was the ninth win of his 10-fight professional MMA career, and the 24-year-old Brazilian will be looking to kick on from here.

This is an interesting match-up between two former Dana White’s Contender Series fighters.

Parsons is coming off a three-year absence, which is a seriously long time, so the risk of Octagon rust is real. He takes on a much more active opponent in Souza, who picked up his debut win just six months ago.

Parsons was on something of a tear before his time out, but it is not going to be easy for him to simply pick things back up. For that reason, we have to favour Souza to get the win.
