Angela Hill: Can "Overkill" roll back the years with a vintage performance?
Poised to make her thirtieth appearance under the UFC banner, Angela Hill (18-16) returns for her first fight of 2026. Arguably the most grizzled veteran at 115 pounds, Hill is a lightning fast Muay Thai striker renowned for her output and accuracy. Having fought a who’s-who of contenders throughout her time in the promotion, “Overkill” looks to finally be nearing the end of the road having turned 41 in January; she hasn’t won a fight since beating Ketlen Souza last February, dropping her next two outings via decision to Iasmin Lucindo and Fatima Kline.
Xiong Jingnan: Can "The Panda" produce the form that earned her multiple championships under the ONE banner?
Arguably the most successful female fighter in ONE Championship history, Jingnan Xiong (19-2) makes her UFC debut after almost a decade under the ONE banner. Best known for coming out on top in an epic trilogy with promotional poster girl, Angela Lee, “The Panda” is a heavy handed striker with excellent footwork and crisp boxing. The rare strawweight with legitimate KO power, Xiong has ten wins by KO to underline the pop that she carries in her hands. She’s endured a stop-start schedule since triumphing over Lee in their trilogy, besting Nat Jaroonsak by KO in a custom rules bout before taking a decision over Bo Meng last March.

I just can’t pick Hill to win a fight anymore. “Overkill” has looked terrible in her last two outings, dropping decisions to fighters who she arguably would have been favored to beat in her heyday. She looks to have lost a good deal of her speed at the age of 41 and has demonstrated borderline non-existent takedown defense as of late; an area where she's historically excelled.
However, Xiong’s activity gives legitimate cause for concern here. A seven time champion in ONE Championship, the Chinese veteran is one of the most successful female fighters in the promotion’s history, but she’s only fought twice under MMA rules since 2022. By contrast, Hill has fought on no less than ten occasions during that time span; there’s a significant possibility that ring rust could play a factor in the outcome here.
In technical terms, this one likely comes down to what triumphs; Hill’s volume or Xiong’s power. “Overkill” has incredibly underrated defense, having never been knocked out in almost seven hours of UFC cage time. However, given where the American is at in her career, I see Xiong landing the bigger shots and causing more noticeable damage across three rounds to walk away with the decision victory.
