UAE vs Syria prediction

With Cosmin Olairu now at the helm, having replaced former Portugal and South Korea boss Paulo Bento, the United Arab Emirates are preparing for the third round of AFC qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the gulf state realistically targeting a second ever performance at a FIFA World Cup.

They face a Syria side that have shown signs of improvement in the last half a decade or so, but that has drifted once again. That said, they have enjoyed a reasonable run of form in 2025 with back-to-back victories against Pakistan and Afghanistan making it five victories in their last seven matches.

However, despite that reasonable run of form, the UAE is a step up in quality and, as they fine tune their qualification preparations, the UAE should win, especially with their home advantage.

UAE vs Syria tip: UAE to win
