Key Stats

  • Tunisia have won six of the last eight international matches between these teams (L2).
  • Tunisia have not lost a World Cup qualifying match in Tunisia since a 1-2 defeat against Burkina Faso in June 2008.
  • Tunisia have lost only one of their last 22 World Cup qualifying matches (W16 D5). They are unbeaten in the last nine (W7 D2).
  • Tunisia have kept 13 clean sheets in their last 15 World Cup qualifying matches. They are aiming for a ninth successive clean sheet in this match.

Tunisia vs Liberia Prediction

The Tunisians have a reasonable squad, but they are built on a steady and impressive defensive record. The north Africans most recently suffered a 2-0 loss to regional rivals Morocco in an international friendly in June. In qualification, under the management of former Manchester City man Sami Trabelsi, the Eagles of Carthage remain unbeaten after six matches and they are closing in on qualification ahead of Namibia.

Liberia themselves still have something to play for, though, as they sit just two points behind Namibia with four games to go as they seek a runner up spot and a playoff berth. They most recently defeated Sao Tome e Principe by two goals to one.

The reverse fixture between these two sides saw the Tunisians win by a goal to nil and a similarly hard-fought victory or the calm and controlled Tunisians would appear a good bet.

Tunisia vs Liberia Tip: Tunisia to win & under 3.5 goals
