Torino Preview: Mid-table Torino
Last season, Ivan Juric, who has since managed both Roma and Southampton, parted company with Torino as both needed a renewal to kick on but the hosts have remained as mid-table as ever with ten victories, 13 draws and 11 defeats in their 34 Serie A matches this season.
The home team come into this one on the back of a 2-0 defeat to title challenging Napoli at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona last weekend due to a first-half brace scored by Scotland international Scott McTominay in Naples.
Venezia Preview: Change in style
Last season, Eusebio Di Francesco oversaw Frosinone’s relegation from Serie A but the Romans began to realise their jeopardy late on and switched to a more defensive style that became effective but they still went down on the final day of the campaign.
A similar situation appears to be unfolding at Venezia as they become a lot more defensively resilient but the Venetians remain tucked inside the bottom three and the relegation places, most recently suffering a 2-0 loss to AC Milan in Venice last weekend.
Torino Team News: Gineitis suspended
Torino will be without midfielder Gvidas Gineitis for this weekend as he is missing through suspension. They also have a few key injury issues, too, with Borna Sosa now sidelined alongside long-term absentees Perr Schuurs and Duvan Zapata.
Predicted XI (3-5-2): Milinkovic-Savic; Saul Coco, Guillermo Maripan, Masina; Pedersen, Casadei, Linetty, Tameze, Biraghi; Adams, Elmas
Unavailable: Sosa (Injured), Schuurs (Injured), Gineitis (Suspended), Njie (Injured), Duvan Zapata (Injured)

Venezia Team News: Schingtienne a doubt
Venezia have a fresh injury concern ahead of the trip to Piedmont this weekend as defender Joel Schingtienne is now a doubt for this one. They do, though, have a few confirmed absentees, too, such as Domen Crnigoj, Michael Svoboda, Richie Sagrado and Mikael Egill Ellertsson.
Predicted XI (3-5-2): Radu; Marcandalli, Idzes, Cande; Zerbin, Conde, Caviglia, Busio, Haps; Yeboah, Fila
Unavailable: Crnigoj (Injured), Svoboda (Injured), Sagrado (Injured), Ellertsson (Injured)
Questionable: Schingtienne (Injured)
Torino vs Venezia Prediction
The reason for moving on from Juric and appointing Paolo Vanoli, who led Venezia to promotion to Serie A last season, was to become more attacking but the hosts have remained diligently defensive and reactive as he is a disciple of Antonio Conte. Venezia have been solid of late and they were probably even the better side in a 2-0 loss to AC Milan last weekend so, with so much more to fight for, a double chance bet in favour of the visitors may well be good value for this one.
Torino vs Venezia Tip: Double chance – Venezia to win or draw
