Getafe have a busy season ahead and the same can be said for Celta Vigo, with both sides having begun the season fairly underwhelmingly.

Getafe preview: The aggressive Getafe

Jose Bordalas led Getafe to overachievement once again last season as they finished eighth and qualified for the UEFA Europa Conference League, confirming their spot in the league phase with a 4-3 aggregate defeat of Partizan Belgrade last month.

They began their La Liga season with a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Deportivo Alaves and most recently suffered a 1-0 defeat to Osasuna, either side of a slender but needed 1-0 victory against newly-promoted Racing Santander.

Celta Vigo preview: Sorry Celta

Celta Vigo come into this one on the back of a goalless draw with Real Sociedad in midweek as their poor start to the campaign under the management of Claudio Giraldez, with Celta having finished last season poorly.

That came after a 2-0 defeat at home to Athletic Club and means that they have managed just two draws with one goal scored, and two defeats in their opening four matches of the campaign.

Getafe team news: A few doubts

Getafe are dealing with a few key doubts for this one as Abdel Abqar is potentially unavailable alongside Aston Villa loanee Andres Garcia.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): David Soria; Kiko Femenia, Djene, Romero, Johan Mojica; Alberto Risco, Mangala, Francho Serrano, Ramon Terrats; Unal, Martin Satriano

Unavailable: Uche (Injured), Juanmi (Injured)

Questionable: Abqar (Injured), Andres Garcia (Injured), Mario Martin (Injured)

Celta Vigo team news: Midfield doubts

Summer signings in midfield, Stefan Bajcetic and Aleix Febas, are both doubtful for this one with FIFA World Cup winner Borja Iglesias still unavailable due to a calf injury.

Predicted XI (3-4-3): Radu; Alvaro Nunez, Yoel Lago, Marcos Alonso; Javi Rueda, Miguel Roman, Ilaix Moriba, Sergio Carreira; Pablo Duran, Ferran Jutgla, Swedberg

Unavailable: Borja Iglesias (Injured)

Questionable: Stefan Bajcetic (Injured), Aleix Febas (Injured)

Getafe vs Celta Vigo prediction

Claudio Giraldez has done a largely impressive job in charge of Celta and he did ensure they remained in the UEFA Europa League qualifying spots last season but the Galicians have now been performing poorly for about six months or so. Getafe are expected to be as obdurate but as dull as ever for the neutral and given the struggles of the visitors, a low-scoring encounter at the Coliseum on the outskirts of Madrid seems a decent bet for this one.

Getafe vs Celta Vigo tip: Under 2.5 goals
