Napoli preview: Win in midweek
Massimiliano Allegri took charge of Napoli in the summer and they have endured their worst start to a Serie A season in over 20 years as the Neapolitans head into this one on the back of a 1-0 defeat to previously pointless Venezia last weekend.
The Partenopei did get themselves a much-needed victory in midweek as they entertainingly defeated Bodo/Glimt by four goals to three with a brace from Scott McTominay inspiring them to that win in the UEFA Champions League.
Roma preview: Brilliant Romans
Gian Piero Gasperini and his Roma side have continued to improve after qualifying for the UEFA Champions League last season and they dispatched of Slovakian champions Slovan Bratislava by four goals to nil at Stadio Olimpico in midweek.
In Serie A, the Giallorossi began with four wins before a 2-2 draw against defending champions Internazionale after being 2-0 up before the international break. After the break, Roma shared a goalless draw with Como before a 2-0 win against Genoa.
Napoli team news: Fresh injuries
Alisson Santos has suffered a setback in his recovery from a thigh injury with fellow Brazilian winger David Neres now also sidelined due to his own thigh issue for the hosts.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Rafa Marin, Spinazzola; De Bruyne, Anguissa, McTominay; Politano, Hojlund, Lang

Roma team news: Pellegrini out
An injury to Paulo Dybala led to Lorenzo Pellegrini starting in midweek but the Roman academy graduate sustained his own injury and is now set to be out for a few weeks. Donyell Malen has returned from suspension.
Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Gollini; Balerdi, Koulierakis, Ndicka; Lulli, De Roon, Pisilli, Rensch; Malen, Matias Soule; Castro

Napoli vs Roma prediction
Roma have been very impressive this season with just one defeat in their ten matches across all competitions. That one loss came at home to Real Madrid in a game in which they were 3-1 up before a late collapse due to three goals from Los Blancos corners. They head to a Napoli side that, even in victory against Bodo the other day, remained fairly unconvincing and siding with the visitors seems a decent bet for this one.
Napoli vs Roma tip: Double chance – Roma to win or draw
