Torino Preview: Steady Torino

Under the management of former Venezia boss and disciple of Antonio Conte, Paolo Vanoli, who joined the club to replace Ivan Juric last summer, has been in charge of an inconsistent Torino side this season but their form has been much-improved of late.

The hosts earned a 1-1 draw with Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in the capital city last weekend and that means they are now unbeaten in their last five matches in Serie A as they sit firmly in the middle-of-the-table.

Hellas Verona Preview: Victories for Verona

Hellas Verona lost manager Marco Baroni to Lazio last summer but former Empoli boss Paolo Zanetti has taken charge and the visitors have been steady throughout the campaign, albeit it is often win or bust with nine victories and 18 defeats in their 30 matches so far this season.

One of their three Serie A draws so far this season came last weekend at the Marcantonio Bentegodi as they shared a goalless draw against a struggling Parma side that have been improving since the appointment of former Romania international Cristian Chivu.

Torino Team News: Long-term injuries

Torino have no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues for this weekend but they are continuing to deal with a couple of long-term injury issues at either end such as centre-back Perr Schuurs and striker Duvan Zapata.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Milinkovic-Savic; Walukiewicz, Guillermo Maripan, Saul Coco, Biraghi; Ricci, Casadei; Lazaro, Vlasic, Elmas; Adams

Unavailable: Schuurs (Injured), Njie (Injured), Duvan Zapata (Injured)

Hellas Verona Team News: Several injuries

Martin Frese has returned to full fitness for Verona this weekend but they are now without the likes of Marco Davide Faraoni, Cheikh Niasse and Tomas Suslov, joining long-term absentee Abdou Harroui on the sidelines.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Montipo; Ghilardi, Coppola, Valentini; Tchatchoua, Duda, Dawidowicz, Bernede, Bradaric; Sarr, Daniel Mosquera

Unavailable: Faraoni (Injured), Niasse (Injured), Harroui (Injured), Suslov (Injured)

Torino vs Hellas Verona Prediction

Torino parted company with Ivan Juric due to a fairly stagnant style of football that produced just 72 goals in 38 games last season. This season, their 30 games have consisted of 70 goals. Whilst a slight improvement, they have remained fairly tough to watch as a neutral. They face a Verona side now that are hovering just below Torino with that aforementioned win or bust style. However, given the form of the hosts it would appear unlikely they’d be able to pull off another win here.

Torino vs Hellas Verona Tip: Double chance – Torino to win or draw
