Titouan Droguet vs Alexander Blockx prediction
Titouan Droguet is in strong form heading into the Croatia Open, having made it all the way to the final of a Challenger event in Iasi last week. That stands as his best result of the season so far, though he did reach the semi-finals of the Open Occitanie back in February on the ATP Tour. Droguet is still ranked outside the top 100.
He will face Alexander Blockx in round one. Blockx made his return from injury in the first-round at Wimbledon, and he showed some promising signs, ultimately losing to second seed Alexander Zverev in four sets. The Belgian had shown real form on the clay earlier this season, having reached the semi-finals of the Madrid Open over two months ago.
Blockx leads the head-to-head 1-0 after defeating Droguet in the final of a Challenger tournament in Bratislava towards the end of last year. He is still regaining match fitness, and could be pushed by Droguet in this match. However, he remains the favourite to advance.
