THE PREDICTION
World number 15 Ugo Humbert came back from a set down to beat clay specialist Federico Coria on Monday, an encouraging result on his weakest surface. The French number one will be a popular draw for crowds here in Monaco and he certainly possesses the tools required to one day thrive on this surface, with a disruptive lefty serve and good back-court balance for his height. World number 49 Zhizhen Shang overcame Marcos Giron in three sets on Tuesday to snap a two-match losing streak and he should be better for an early battle in conditions that have suited him in the past. The 26-year-old found his feet on tour with a brilliant run to the quarter-finals at the Madrid Masters last April but Humbert was the winner of their only previous encounter, edging past the Chinese in four sets at the Australian Open in January. Back Humbert to earn at least a set to leave the victor up to chance.
TIP: UGO HUMBERT TO WIN A SET
