THE PREDICTION

World number eight Daniil Medvedev came back from a set down to outlast an excellent Jannik Sinner in the Rotterdam Open final on Sunday, winning the 16th ATP title of his illustrious career. The 27-year-old was stunned in the third round of the Australian Open by Sebastian Korda but victories over the likes of Sinner, Grigor Dimitrov and Felix Auger-Aliassime last week suggest he is on his way back to a more recognisable version. World number 147 Liam Broady claimed a Challenger title in Lithuania two weeks ago and he took that form into a strong qualifying campaign in Doha, beating Nikoloz Basilashvili before overcoming Oleksii Krutykh in the first round on Monday. This should be way too steep a climb, though, particularly as Medvedev comes in hot on a five-match winning streak. Back Medvedev to win in straight sets and consider taking the fewer than 16.5 games option.
