Karolina Muchova vs Liudmila Samsonova prediction

Karolina Muchova began her China Open campaign with a straight sets victory over British number one Katie Boulter. Muchova crushed Boulter at the US Open, losing just one game in total, but she was tested in the first set as she went 4-1 behind. However, she fought back and edged clear in the tiebreak to take the lead. Boulter faded in the second, with the two-time Grand Slam finalist completing a 7-6 (3) 6-1 win after one hour and 39 minutes.

Her next opponent is Liudmila Samsonova in round three. Samsonova beat Linda Fruhvirtova in three sets to set up a meeting with Muchova. She saved 11 out of 14 break points and recovered from 3-1 down in the decider to win 6-2 3-6 6-3.

Muchova leads the overall head-to-head 2-0 after two qualifying victories in 2019. The Czech only conceded one break point in her last match, and she will be expected to create numerous opportunities against Samsonova with her varied game.
