Germany had a good win last month against Netherlands and come into this match high on confidence. They boast home advantage here and need to make use of that. Whilst Malta are more experience at this level, they’ll be fielding a number of debutants which could play to the favour of Germany.
Malta may be a higher ranked side than Germany, you can’t underestimate momentum and the Germans have that, along with a no fear mentality which will see them likely come flying out of the traps in a bid to really take the fight to their opponents. When taking this into account, the value play may well be backing Germany to pull off an upset at home.
