Key Stats

  • Tanzania have lost their last three World Cup qualifying matches in Tanzania without scoring a goal.
  • Niger have won only two of the last eight World Cup qualifying matches (D1 L5).

Tanzania vs Niger Prediction

Tanzania come into this one on the back of a 1-1 draw with The Congo in their most recent outing at the Stade Alphonse Massemba-Debat. The Tanzanians have scored just six goals in their six qualifiers, with ten points collected as they sit four points clear of both Zambia and Niger.

Niger come into this one having just been hammered 5-0 by Morocco at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, with a brace from Ismael Saibari as well as goals from Ayoub El Kaabi, Hamza Igamane and Azzedine Ounahi. The Atlas Lions are strong, though, and Niger shouldn’t worry too much.

However, there is a difference between not worrying too much and being able to defeat the Tanzanians, and Tanzania should ease themselves through to second place.
