Switzerland vs Slovenia prediction

Murat Yakin and his Switzerland side come into this one on the back of a 4-0 hammering of Kosovo at St. Jakob-Park in the Swiss city of Basel. Manuel Akanji opened the scoring for the Swiss after 25 minutes before a Breel Embolo brace, and then Silvan Widmer completed the rout before half-time.

Slovenia are a very solid side and they managed to rescue themselves a point against Sweden in the Slovenian capital city of Ljubljana. Sweden took the lead on two occasions in the match, but Slovenia managed to equalise in second-half stoppage-time via Swansea City striker Zan Vipotnik.

Slovenia head to Switzerland with the ambition to ensure it is a controlled game defined by small margins and, albeit the Swiss are favourites, it is expected to be a low-scoring affair.

Switzerland vs Slovenia tip: Double chance – Switzerland to win & under 3.5 goals
