Key Stats

  • Sudan are unbeaten in their last six World Cup qualifying matches (W3 D3). This has equalled their longest unbeaten run in the World Cup qualifying history which they previously achieved from (November 1968 to October 1969).
  • Sudan have not conceded a goal in their last four World Cup qualifying matches.
  • South Sudan are aiming to win a World Cup qualifying match for the first time (D4 L5).

Sudan vs South Sudan Prediction

Sudan begin the sixth match day of CAF’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign sitting at the top of the group above the likes of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Senegal, whilst South Sudan are rock-bottom after five matches.

The Sudanese have started their Group B campaign very impressively with three victories and two draws in their opening five games, scoring just seven goals in the process. The nominal hosts most recent outing saw them share a goalless draw with the aforementioned Senegalese at the Martyrs of February Stadium the other day.

South Sudan, on the other hand, were beaten by a goal to nil at Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa against the Democratic Republic of Congo with a winning goal scored by Theo Bongonda in first-half stoppage-time. Their elimination from FIFA World Cup qualification is on the verge of being mathematically confirmed.

Sudan have conceded just one goal, whilst South Sudan have scored just a solitary goal so a low-scoring Sudanese goal is to be expected for this one.

Sudan vs South Sudan Tip: Sudan to win & under 3.5 goals
