Genoa preview: Possibly in trouble
Daniele De Rossi took charge of Genoa mid-way through the campaign last season. He managed to steer themselves clear of relegation after they had been winless in their opening nine games but another relegation battle may well beckon again.

Cesc Fabregas’ Como finished fourth and qualified for the UEFA Champions League last season and, expecting a slower start this time around, they again look very strong and potentially even stronger.
After a disjointed goalless draw against Udinese in their opener, Como then went down to Naples and managed to defeat Napoli by two goals to one with strikes scored by Martin Baturina and Tasos Douvikas.

Genoa have brought in Cody Drameh from Hull City to replace Brooke Norton-Cuffy, who went the other way, with Robinho Junior a surprise loan signing from Santos.

Como were slick and impressive against Napoli but unlike some games last year when they remained naïve and kept going to try and score more, they instead decided to shut up shop and see out the victory with maturity at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Genoa are yet to score. They will fancy themselves be awkward to play against but Como should still come out on top at the Luigi Ferraris.
