The first-leg of this UEFA Europa League playoff round tie began with Panathinaikos defeating Samsunspor by two goals to one at the Athens Olympic Stadium in the Greek capital city last week. Samsunspor took a 51st minute lead in that game via Logi Tomasson before Panathinaikos then turned the game on its head thanks to goals from defensive duo Georgios Kyriakopoulos and Erik Palmer-Brown.

Samsunspor overperformed by qualifying for the UEFA Europa League via the Turkish Super Lig last season, whilst Panathinaikos reached the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa Conference League last year.

Samsunspor have been reasonably entertaining in the last 12 months or so, and Panathinaikos will have to sit deep and play on the counter-attack, so both teams scoring may well be a good bet for this one in Turkey.
