Real Sociedad vs Dinamo Kiev Prediction

Although they were a team that performed admirably in the Champions League last season, Real Sociedad have certainly not had it all their own way in the Europa League and they still have a fair degree of work to do to secure passage to the next phase of the competition.

The Spanish side won just one of their first four league phase games as they struggled to get going, but a welcome 2-0 victory over Ajax last time out has improved their footing and they come into this contest having won their last four games in all competitions, and six of their last seven.

Dinamo Kiev currently claim the unwanted record of being the only team in the competition yet to register a point. The Ukrainian side, although top of their domestic league, have lost all five league phase games and have scored just one goal in their defeats to Lazio, Hoffenheim, Roma, Ferencvaros and Viktoria Plzen. Indeed, they have lost 12 of their last 13 Europa League games, drawing the other.

Dinamo realistically need to win their remaining three league phase fixtures in order to even make the play-offs, but that is an unlikely prospect given their struggles in Europe. Sociedad will sense blood here and should be record a second straight home win in the competition, potentially without conceding.

Real Sociedad vs Dinamo Kiev Tip: Real Sociedad to win nil
